My Favorite Anime Series that I Know You Will Love too Because I’m Always Right About Everything

Anyone who knows me knows that I love anime. Like loooooooooooove anime. Like if anime could be a person, I’d marry it. I have a million favorites but I’ll try to keep this list short. No particular order here. Just ish I like and some honorable mentions. So let’s get to it!

FLCL/Fooly Cooly

This show is pretty stellar. From the kickass soundtrack to the fluid, explosive animation, this show will never leave you bored. Although the story can be a little confusing at times, the characters are all endearing and the show is well worth watching multiple times and it’s only 6 episodes long.

If you watched this and liked it, see also Kill La Kill, Deadleaves, Gurren Lagann and Crayon Shin Chan.

Now my dad introduced this show to me when I was just a little kid (he’s not a bad parent I swear!) But this show has resonated with me ever since I was 7 years old. The story is compelling and deep and the action and fighting scenes are like no other. The deaths were gruesome but creative so they don’t come off as gratuitous. This show isn’t for the faint of heart so use caution. TW: Rape.

If you watched this and liked it, see also Akame Ga Kill, Basilisk, Fist of the North Star, Book of Bantorra, Afro Samurai and Berserk.

Ok don’t judge me. This was my first ever Shōjo/slice of life anime and I loved every minute of it! It’s cheesey but wildly hilarious. I spent my nights in college (because I waited that long to give this show a try) smothering my laughter because this show is that damn funny. The third wall breaks and romance tie in so splendidly. It’s cute and light hearted but has its serious moments.

If you watched this and liked it, see also My Little Monster, Princess Jellyfish , Toradora and Hetalia: Axis Powers.

This show was ummm interesting? to watch. It’s a great take on the hero genre that will leave you feeling emotional and inspired. I’ve not quite experienced such a twist in a plot as what this show has to offer.

If you watched this and liked it, see also One Punch Man, My Hero Academia, Hunter X Hunter, Mob Psycho 100 and Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans

Erased

I thoroughly enjoyed this story! It was clever and mysterious and even though the show had a sort of predictable ending, each episode left me on the edge of my seat. I really felt sincere dread and panic for the characters.

If you watched this and liked it, see also Future Diary, Monster, Gangsta and Baccano.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica

This sadistic spin on the magical girl genre was frightening. Just watch it. I don’t know what else to tell you but don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I made that mistake.

If you watched this and liked it, see also Sailor Moon, Blood-C, Blood +, and Claymore.
